I am Spanish although I have been living in the UK for many years. I am also a mother of 2 beautiful children, the older is 5 and I am very proud to say that he can already speak Spanish, Catalan and English. He is now learning French and he is loving the classes! My dad was French, however as he never spoke to us in the language he grew up with, I missed on the amazing opportunity to be able to learn another language with little (if any) effort. That is why I am so passionate about exposing children to languages as early as possible. And no, it is never too early to introduce a child to a new language! I certainly do not want my children to one day say to me:
'Mum, why did you not teach us Spanish and Catalan? How great would it be if we could speak those languages now? If you had taught us from a very young age, we would now be fluent at them and it would have taken minimal effort'. (By the way, those were the words I used to say to my dad). I know, you might be thinking 'but I do not speak another language' or maybe you do but life gets in the way, and although you have amazing intentions, you are just not managing to speak Spanish to your children as much as you would like to, that's why I am here and I can help you. I offer Spanish classes to children aged 0-11. Me and my team of tutors teach Spanish at nurseries, pre-schools, Primary schools (PPA and clubs), online and at different venues. Classes are also available for childminders, homeschooled children and we offer 121 tuition. My passion for languages is shared with my love to serve the community. I am always thinking of ideas on how to bring the community I live in closer together. Wether is by volunteering at my local toddler group or organising street parties, I get a buzz from knowing I am doing my part to create a community that my children will feel proud of being part of. I am very honoured to be able to combine my job and passion through the Kidslingo together initiative, offering intergenerational Spanish classes in Care homes. They are much more than just a Spanish lesson, it's about learning through the generations and caring for each other. The benefits for young and not so you are endless. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information and projects on [email protected]
I am always happy to help you in the amazing journey of teaching your little one Spanish. Hasta pronto,
Isabel
