Meet Bruna Tomsic, a Multimedia Journalism graduate who has built a dynamic career at the intersection of storytelling and healthcare. Since graduating from UON in 2018, Bruna has progressed to become an Account Director in PR at Syneos Health Communications, where she uses the power of communication to amplify patient voices and raise awareness of important health issues. Through hands-on industry experience, mentorship, and a passion for meaningful storytelling, Bruna has developed a career that combines creativity with purpose on a global scale.

Meet Andra-Mihaela Abu Ghuwaleh, a passionate graduate whose journey through both a BSc in Health Sciences and an MA in Education has led to a meaningful career supporting young people in the community. Now working as a Leader in Charge Youth Worker at Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire, Andra has combined her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to make a positive impact. Through leadership opportunities, research, and community engagement during her time at UON, she developed the confidence, skills, and ambition to pursue a career that bridges education, research, and social change.

Meet Rahema Begum, a Biomedical Science graduate who has turned her passion for science into a career in the healthcare sector. After graduating from UON in 2024, Rahema secured a role as a Quality Technician at STERIS IMS, where she plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and quality of medical instruments. Through hands-on laboratory experience, mentoring opportunities, and support from university programmes, she has built the confidence, technical skills, and resilience needed to transition successfully into a professional scientific environment.
