The length of time you’ll foster a child can vary. Some children may stay for just a few days or weeks in an emergency placement, while others may need a stable home for months or even longer.
Every situation is different, but your support, no matter how long, can make a lasting difference in a child’s life 💙

Glycerol is often used to create the slush effect. But in high quantities, especially to small children, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.
That’s why slushies containing glycerol are not recommended for children under seven. And, older children should be limited to just one slush a day.

As exam season approaches, many young people rely on revision techniques that feel productive but offer limited long-term impact.
Rereading notes and highlighting can create a false sense of confidence, leaving gaps in understanding when it matters most.
Our latest guide shares simple, evidence-informed strategies to support more effective revision, including:
• Retrieval practice to strengthen memory
• Spaced revision to improve retention
• Building manageable and consistent routines
With practical advice for parents and educators, the guide helps create a balanced approach that supports both confidence and wellbeing.

Filling their cup doesn’t take big moments, just small, consistent ones.
