Information from the lullaby child’s trust……

✋ Loose bedding can BLOCK a baby’s airway

🤏 Tummy sleeping can put pressure on a baby’s chest and NARROW their airway
-
🤲 Sleeping in a sitting position can FOLD a baby’s airway
-
A baby’s airway (breathing tube) is delicate and can easily block, narrow or fold, making it difficult for them to breathe. Sleeping on their back, in a clear space that is firm and flat, can help keep your little one’s airway open.
