We opened specially for a researcher visiting from abroad (who had to put up with boxes flying around his head as we loaded the racks!) - but well worth it when he discovered yet another document referencing our chancellor and the Communards.

Not that we are biased about archives or anything, but we are pretty proud of the hands on experience we give students working in the archive, researching in the archive and even using our material in their lessons.

One of the best parts of the archive is getting to not just meet the great names in our field, but also some fantastic undergrad and PhD students who hopefully will be the future!
