Welcome to the Duston Music and Performing Arts Centre page! It's packed full of exciting information / photos that will entice you to become part of a superb Saturday morning Music & Performing Arts experience! Our staff can cater for all children of school age from "Early Years"
through to 6th Form and we actively encourage our more senior and
experienced children to take an active "Student Helper" role within our
Centre. Music, Dance & Drama are life-long skills and it is now well documented
that children who engage in these activities from an early age are sure to
grow up as well-rounded, motivated and more socially aware individuals. The environment here is safe, well resourced and the delivery of teaching
is of a high standard. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday
morning! Come along and meet us any Saturday during term time between
9.30am & 12.30pm.

A great morning of making music today. Our Endangered instrument groups have gotten off to a wonderful start.

Here's two of our new learners getting involved with the French Horn and Basoon. Rex is brand new (deffo seems like a natural and Thomas is branching out from the flute :D - making a lovely sound for his first ever go!)

We're back tomorrow! I'm excited to meet all our new members and for the brilliant year ahead!

NMPAT is also offering a mini strings session with the incredible Mrs Leech each week at our site in town (Kettering Road). If you have a child aged 5-7 who is interested - please do sign them up. The musical journies that her mini-strings students have travelled, are simply incredible!

I also got to watch their Piratical Performance at the end of last term and it was incredible!

Do you know a future string star? 🎻🎶

Our Little Strings sessions are perfect for children aged 5 to 7 who would like to learn the violin in a fun group setting.

They take place on Wednesdays during term time from 4.15pm to 5.00pm at our Kettering Road location (NN1 4AZ).

🌟 Sessions cost £22.80 per month, including the free loan of an instrument.

The Centre re-opens in full on September 12th, with an opportunity for anyone who wants to ask questions/come visit our site without crowds on Saturday 5th September between 9.30-10.30am.

Try something new this term - if your child has an interest in learning an instrument and doesn't know what yet - we'll be offering a 10 week project on these rare instruments. (Depending on interest, we may restart a fresh 10 week project in january or keep rolling for the year).
