Lights, camera, Cultural Cuppa! Join us on Tuesday, April 2nd, 4-6pm at the Engine Shed, Waterside Campus for our next gathering.

We're thrilled to welcome Becky Carrier, Director of Northampton Film Festival and one of our second cohort of Heritage Accelerators, for our "Get Inspired" segment! She'll be showcasing the film, "Not The Type To Be Typecast," exploring Northampton's rich history of Rebels and Revolutionaries, Misfits and Mavericks, Creatives and Changemakers and will also reflect on the first 6 months of The Creative Place.

We will be reflecting on the two years of the UON Heritage Project, discussing key successes and sharing our vision for the future.

Two fabulous UON Student Ambassadors joined us on Friday to support the Northamptonshire Heritage Education Fair.

We had a wide variety of organisations joining us and some were new which goes to show that there are always new contacts to be made and exciting potential collaborations to be had. This is why continued, regular events such as these and The Cultural Cuppa are essential!

Thank you to everyone that supported the event, to UON Schools Engagement for linking us with the Student Ambassadors, Graham Fudger for capturing the event so brilliantly as usual and The National Lottery Heritage Fund for making this event possible.

Wicksteed Park has been a cornerstone of family fun, community events, and natural beauty for over 100 years. As the birthplace of modern play equipment, it holds a unique place in history—and in the hearts of generations.

However, the park's future as a free to access site is at risk. The Wicksteed Charitable Trust needs your help to keep the park open, free, and thriving.

Thanks to a generous grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the "Love Wicksteed" campaign has been launched to secure vital funding. Your input and support can make a real difference:

Today's LGBTQ+ Awareness training with the fabulous QSpace, captured by photographer and creative Graham Fudger!

Always encouraging when attendees complete a feedback form the same day and they are resoundingly positive with comments about the most useful aspects being "Ability to network and have conversation amongst room and with trainers during activities...Activities that encouraged everyone's involvement and more discussions."

Testament to Will and Atlas for creating a safe space where people could ask questions with no judgement.

"I am returning to ask for better training in the company as a whole"

The best part? We do it all again on Thursday at Delapré Abbey and we have a few spaces left so grab them because one attendee stated " I will encourage others to attend."

Thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund for making these workshops possible and the always supportive team at The Chester House Estate for hosting us.
