I am a childminder with eight years experience ranging from 6 months to 10 years old Childminders are inspected by Ofsted and must demonstrate how they provide a high-quality learning environment for early years children, including teaching them new things and supporting their ongoing interests. Most childminders have a play-based curriculum which aims to ensure children are making excellent progress towards the statutory Early Learning Goals.

Encouraging Quiet Children 💬🙂
Some children speak readily in some situations but stay quiet in others and there can be many reasons behind this. At this time of year where you are likely to have an influx of new starters, giving children time to settle into their new setting is really important. Invest time in building a relationship and reducing any pressure on them to speak.
📢It is important that we all know how to support these children to ensure they have been given the best chance to become confident communicators.
