🌞🌊 What a fantastic way to round off our open water training weekends before the summer break! 🌊🌞

We were treated to some absolutely beautiful weather, with sunshine above the surface and excellent underwater conditions below. The visibility was great, and it provided the perfect environment for our students to put all their hard work and training into practice.

Every one of these achievements represents dedication, commitment, and a lot of hard work both in the pool and in open water. It’s always rewarding to watch divers grow in confidence and skills, and this weekend was no exception. From first open water dives to advanced specialty qualifications, there were plenty of proud moments all round.

A special mention goes to our fantastic team of instructors, divemasters, and support crew who gave up their time to make the weekend run so smoothly. Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and encouragement help make these weekends such a success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a positive atmosphere both in and out of the water. We couldn’t ask for a better group of divers.

Now it’s time for a short summer break from open water training, but we’ll be back in the pool on 2nd July and looking forward to seeing everyone there as we continue developing skills and welcoming new divers into the club.

What a great way to finish our Thursday night pool sessions before our summer break! 🌊🤿

This week we welcomed Jordan, Becky and Lisa for their try dives – we hope you enjoyed getting a taste of the underwater world!

Alex and Fin completed their scuba reviews, while Matthew successfully worked through his PADI Reactivate programme and refreshed his diving skills.

Our Open Water students were also busy putting the finishing touches on their courses ahead of this weekend’s open water dives. Good luck to everyone as they complete the final stage of their certification journey!

And we even squeezed in some DM training too! Stu was signed off supervising our Reactivate student and Carl is half way through his DSD internship!

That’s it for our Thursday pool sessions for now as we take a short summer break. After this weekend’s open water training, we’ll be back in the pool and ready to go again on 2nd July.

🎉🌊 Huge congratulations to Angie Taylor on successfully completing her Scuba Diver certification at Stoney Cove yesterday! 🌊🎉

What an incredible achievement!

From the very beginning of her diving journey, Angie has demonstrated outstanding hard work, dedication, and persistence. Learning to scuba dive is no small feat—it takes commitment, confidence, and determination to master new skills both in the classroom and underwater. Angie embraced every challenge along the way and never lost sight of her goal.

Yesterday at Stoney Cove, all that effort paid off as she proudly earned her certification, marking the start of many exciting underwater adventures to come. Whether it was refining her skills, building her confidence, or pushing through the more demanding aspects of training, Angie approached it all with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

We are all absolutely delighted to see her achieve this well-deserved milestone. Watching her progress has been a pleasure, and we couldn’t be prouder of what she has accomplished.

Congratulations, Angie! Your determination has paid off, and this is just the beginning of an amazing diving adventure. We can’t wait to see where your new certification takes you next! 🐠🤿💙

It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks at the pool, with plenty of milestones achieved and lots of new underwater adventures taking place.

A huge congratulations to our latest Try Dive participants who took their first breaths underwater and discovered the incredible world of scuba diving:

It’s always fantastic to see so many people taking their first steps into aquatic adventures, and judging by the smiles coming out of the pool, everyone had a great time!

Meanwhile, our Open Water students are closing in on the finish line. Congratulations to Maya, Amy and Matthew, who have now completed their Drysuit Orientations and are officially Stoney-ready! 🥳❄️🌊

The rest of the course group isn’t far behind, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone complete their final skills and head off to open water in the coming weeks.

With summer just around the corner, next week’s session will be our final pool night before the summer break. Let’s make it a great one and finish the season in style!
