The Humpty Dumpty’s had a wonderful time exploring a bubbly water tuff tray! They enjoyed scooping, pouring, squeezing and transferring the water into a variety of containers, investigating how the water moved and changed as they played.

There were lots of smiles, splashes and curious discoveries as the children used their hands and different tools to explore the sensory experience of the bubbly water. Water play is a fantastic way to stay cool while learning through play in this lovely warm weather. ☀️

We loved watching the children develop their confidence, curiosity and independence as they explored and experimented together. 💙🌈

This week Jack and Jill’s story of the week was “Monkey Puzzle!”.

We used flour to draw the first letters of the animals we discovered in our story. We discussed the letters and sounds of each animal and after demonstration from Miss Becca, it was our turn.

⭐️ We learned to say some sounds and letter names and write them to.
⭐️ We used our fine and gross motor skills to mark make in the flour, making small and large movements.
⭐️ We re told the story to each other.
⭐️ We recognised each others achievements as we completed our letters.
⭐️ We recognised some of the letters were in our names to.

We can’t wait to see what story we do next week!
