📚🏆 3RD PLACE FOR BRINGTON!! 🏆📚

What a fantastic result! Brington have officially finished 3rd in the Summer Reading Challenge schools’ league table! 🥉🎉

We are so proud of every child who got involved, kept reading throughout the summer and completed their challenge. What a brilliant achievement for our little school! ❤️📖

And there’s even more to celebrate across The Althorp Partnership of Primary Schools, as Harlestone finished right at the top of the table in 1st place! 🥇

That means our two partnership schools have finished 1st AND 3rd overall! 🥇🥉 How amazing is that?!

A huge thank you to Duston Library for another fantastic Summer Reading Challenge, and of course to all of our families for supporting and encouraging their readers at home.

Well done Brington AND Harlestone — we are incredibly proud of you all! 📚👏

So that's it for another Summer Reading Challenge at Duston Library! We finished with well over 600 children taking part and 75% of them made it to the end and collected their medals and certificates! That's a fantastic result and it was all made by possible by the support of Northampton Rotary Club, Duston Parish Council, our Knitwits knit & natter group, and our fabulous volunteers Carlton, Charley, Evie, Jenny, Joseph, Lily B, and Lily C!

Our schools' competition was hotly contested as always, with The Duston School looking like likely winners for the first half before Harlestone Primary School raced past them. Half the school signed up to give Harlestone the win, but Duston can be massively proud with second, a 25% increase on last year's sign-ups, and pipping a strong challenge from Brington Primary School in third. No matter where your school finished, if YOU took part in the challenge, you should feel extremely proud!

And we'll do it all again next year!

📚 How amazing is this?! 🎉

With just a few days left of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, both schools in The Althorp Partnership are sitting right at the top of the league table!

🥇 Harlestone Primary School – 1st place
🥈 The Bringtons – 2nd place

We’re so proud to see children from across both of our schools getting involved and enjoying their reading over the summer. ❤️📖

There’s still time to finish! If your child started the Summer Reading Challenge but hasn’t quite completed it yet, pop along to the library and get those final books finished and collect their medal and certificate. 🏅

The challenge closes at 2pm this Saturday, so let’s see how many more Althorp Partnership readers we can get across the finish line!

A huge well done to all of our brilliant readers — and thank you to all the families who have encouraged them along the way. 🌟

Two schools. One partnership. 1st AND 2nd! 👏📚🏆

Wow! With just one week to go in this year's Summer Reading Challenge, we've smashed our personal target for finishers and now have almost 450 children in possession of medals and certificates from Duston Library! We finished with over 600 starters, so there's still 150 of you out there who can finish the challenge and collect your medals - the deadline is 2pm on Saturday!

In terms of our schools' league table, HARLESTONE have a firm grip on the top spot, and the inclusion for the first time of data gathered from our Community Managed Libraries has propelled THE BRINGTONS into second place! THE DUSTON SCHOOL still have the potential to upset things, though, and - honestly - more finishers will make all the difference to all our schools!

We'll be announcing the winners next Tuesday, so keep an eye out for how your school did this year!

A little glimpse into our shared learning day at Harlestone last week 💛
Owls and Robins learning side by side, from a walk through the wild garlic field to lots of fruity fun and smoothie making in DT. What a wonderful day!

Our Eco Committee spent some time, with the rest of the children in Red Kites class, tidying up the orchard and planting flower seeds in preparation for summer. 🌱🌼 It’s already looking beautiful, especially in the sunshine!
