🎉 Outstanding GCSE Results at Caroline Chisholm School! 📣

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate another fantastic year of GCSE success, with results significantly outperforming national averages across almost every key performance measure. Students were celebrating this morning when receiving their results. Staff are incredibly proud of the achievements of all students.

Our whole-school Attainment 8 score of 5.2 compares with 4.6 nationally, while 21% of students achieved grades 7–9, compared with 16% nationally.
We’re also celebrating excellent outcomes in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Child Care.

Principal, Mr Chris Bishop, shares: “I am immensely proud of every student receiving their GCSE results today. These outstanding outcomes reflect not only their hard work, determination and resilience, but also the unwavering support of our staff, families and wider school community. We are ambitious for every young person, and these results demonstrate what can be achieved when high expectations are combined with outstanding teaching, care and support. It is particularly pleasing to see students excelling across such a broad range of subjects, with strengths evident in our core areas as well as across the wider curriculum.

I would like to congratulate all of our students, including those who have achieved exceptional individual results. Their success is richly deserved and is a testament to the dedication they have shown throughout their time with us and I am pleased so many are choosing to continue their studies in our Sixth Form next year, due to our expanded and enhanced pathways offer.

I wish them every happiness and success for the future and look forward to seeing all that they will accomplish."

A Level Success at Caroline Chisholm School!

This morning, our Year 13 students came together with friends, family and staff to celebrate their A Level results and the incredible hard work, dedication and perseverance that has brought them to this point.

We’re incredibly proud to share that 80% of A Level grades were A*-C, placing us above the national average.

There is also plenty to celebrate when it comes to students’ next steps:
- Nearly all have secured a place at their first-choice destination
- Almost 40% have secured places at Russell Group universities
- 3 students will go on to study Medicine or Dentistry

We’re also incredibly proud of our Head Students, Pierre and Makayla, who have achieved fantastic results. Pierre will be heading to the University of Birmingham to study Philosophy, Politics and Law, while Makayla will be studying Product Design Engineering at the University of Liverpool.

Our primary students recently enjoyed a peaceful and uplifting outdoor session with Reverend Tracey and Curate Marta Brothers, exploring simple ways to show kindness to ourselves and others. In our shaded forest space, children took part in calming activities, wrote tags to thank someone who had supported them, and added messages of gratitude to our bridge. They also had great fun making bubbles together.

The session included a story, for 2CMLL they read, "Rain Before Rainbows" which inspired thoughtful conversations about resilience, hope, and remembering that even the toughest moments pass.

It was a lovely opportunity for the children to reflect, connect, and celebrate kindness.

🎨🚌 Celebrating our talented young artists!

Our primary children recently took part in the ‘My Great Electric Bus Day Out’ competition, creating fantastic artwork inspired by the theme “Where would you go on an electric bus?”

As one of only 15 local primary schools invited to participate, this was a great opportunity for children to showcase their creativity while exploring the importance of sustainable travel and discovering exciting places to visit across Northamptonshire.

Our Primary Art Specialists, Mrs Spedding and Mrs Mason, selected their five favourite entries, with prizes presented during Monday’s Primary Assembly. Congratulations to our winners:

Well done to every child who entered. We are incredibly proud that all of the artwork shortlisted will be displayed as part of an on-bus exhibition at the Northampton Balloon Festival, with a selection also featuring across social media and local press.

We can’t wait to see our pupils’ creativity on display for the wider community to enjoy!

Year 6 had an incredible time on the Isle of Wight! It was a fun-packed week filled with exciting activities, including a boat trip to The Needles, pirate mini golf, a visit to Godshill Village, the Aqua Park, the Farm Park, and Blackgang Chine. The staff also took part in the activities, with the children taking great joy in pushing Mr O'Boyle, Miss Carter, Mrs Lynes and Mrs Gotch into the water at the Aqua Park.

The evenings were just as memorable, with a campfire complete with toasted marshmallows, exclusive access to the Farm Park, a wonderfully noisy theatre show, and a disco.

There was plenty of laughter throughout the week and many memories were made. Some of the wonderful comments we heard from the children included:

"Can we rewind this day and do it all again?" and "This has been the best day ever – I don't want it to end."

It was a truly unforgettable week, and one that Year 6 will remember for many years to come.

A massive thank you to all the teachers, staff and parents for all their efforts in making sure this trip was such a success!

🇮🇹 Year 12 Florence Trip - Day 4 ✨

The final day of our Italian adventure started with the final stop in Florance at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, a real focal point of the city. Students took in the fine architecture and art work followed by final souvenir shopping before we departed Florence.

We made a 3 hour stop in Pisa where students got the chance to take their own iconic pictures with the Leaning Tower before we ascended to the top with 251 steps to get the stunning views. Many final souvenirs were purchased before we made our way to the airport to return to the UK. A smooth journey from start to finish enabled us to arrive back at CCS half an hour ahead of schedule!

A fantastic trip, with an amazing group of students with many memories made that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to the staff (Mrs Treagus, Mr Jones, Mr O'Hara, Ms Sinclair and Miss Hogben) who supported to make this happen - incredible from start to finish.

🦓✨ Year 2 recently enjoyed a wonderful and exciting day at Woburn Safari Park, where they spent the day learning about a wide variety of animals and their habitats. Our adventure began with a ranger tour around the animal enclosures. The children were thrilled to see the animals roaming freely and enjoyed spotting them as they prowled around their habitats. There was lots of excitement when some of the animals came very close to our coach, giving us a fantastic opportunity to observe them up close.

After a busy morning, we stopped to enjoy our lunch before heading off on the foot safari. Here, the children explored different areas of the park and saw many amazing animals, including penguins, sea lions, monkeys and otters. The children loved watching the animals' behaviours and learning more about how they live and interact with one another.

In the afternoon, we took part in an engaging workshop with a zookeeper called "Poo in the Zoo". The children discovered how animal poo can tell us lots of information about an animal's diet and lifestyle. Using their observation and reasoning skills, they worked together to identify which animal each sample of poo belonged to. This hands-on activity was both educational and lots of fun, with the children eagerly sharing their ideas and explanations.

Throughout the day, the children demonstrated excellent behaviour, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our learning about animals to life and create lasting memories with friends. We all had a lovely day and returned to school with lots of new knowledge and exciting stories to share.

☀️🇮🇹 Day 3 in the beautiful city of Florence!

A more relaxed day today with fewer visits in the schedule. We started off with stroll down to Palazzo Vecchio where students were able to take in the wonderful architecture of the enormous buildings and sculptures around them. The depth and the detail of the artwork, especially on the ceilings had the students in awe of the time and talent to create such a stunning setting.

We followed this up with plenty of free time surrounded by designer stores from iconic Italian fashion houses to round off the morning activities.

In the afternoon, we ventures over to Galleria Dell'Accademia where the main attraction of Michelangelo's David was the key draw seeing such an iconic piece close up a definite highlight of the trip.

We had a casual dinner in the Grande Caffè San Marco, where the setting and the food were amazing - the lasagne as a starter was a particular highlight. Students shared some of their favourite moments of the day with a range of stories showing just how much they have enjoyed their time.

One final day left with a stop in Pisa to enjoy as a stop off on the way to the airport.
