SECONDARY OPEN DAYS 2026

Choosing a secondary school is a big decision.

We’re opening our doors to prospective Year 7 students and their families for a unique opportunity to see our school in action during the school day, meet our staff and discover what makes our community so special.

At The Duston School, we want every young person to:
🎯 ASPIRE — to dream big, aim high and believe in what they can achieve.

💪 SHOW RESILIENCE — to face challenges, learn from setbacks and never give up.

🤝 SHOW RESPECT — for themselves, for others and for the community around them.

Together, these values help shape the character, confidence and ambition of our students.

🏆✨ WHAT. A. NIGHT! ✨🏆

Last night we had the absolute privilege of celebrating character, achievement and the incredible young people who make our school community so special at our Annual Character Awards Evening.

And what an evening it was…

🌟 100 Character Subject Champions
🤝 5 Respect Champions
🚀 5 Aspiration Champions
💪 5 Resilience Champions
👑 1 Champion of Champions
🏆 1 Principal’s Award

That’s 126 awards celebrating 126 remarkable achievements — a truly incredible showcase of the character, determination and ambition within our school community.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to every single winner.

You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

We were also incredibly fortunate to welcome Andy Braddeley as our guest speaker, CEO & Co-Founder of The Running Channel. Andy’s incredible sporting career and inspiring journey speech gave our students plenty to think about as they continue to pursue their own ambitions.

Last night was a reminder that success isn’t just about what you achieve — it’s about the character you show along the way.
