A fantastic start to this year’s Springboard Women’s Development Programme at the BWT Primary Training Hub! 🌟
On 9th June, eleven colleagues began their journey towards feeling more empowered and developing a clearer sense of direction in both their personal and professional lives.
The group was warmly welcomed by course facilitator Lucy Steele and inspired by guest speaker Fran Dunn, who shared her story of becoming the first person in her family to pursue higher education, driven by determination, ambition and a desire to build a successful career.
We look forward to following their progress throughout the programme and welcoming everyone back for session two this week!

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference ✨🤝
Across Brooke Weston Trust, pupils are bringing our value of Contributing to Society to life through meaningful connections with older members of their communities.
From handwritten Christmas cards and poetry projects to care home visits, pen pal schemes and volunteering at local charities, children and young people from our schools are discovering the impact they can have on others.
In our latest case study, read how our schools are building connections across generations and making a real difference 👇

This , we are celebrating the many people across Brooke Weston Trust who give their time, skills and expertise to support our schools and communities.
From the more than 100 trustees and governors, who help shape the strategic direction of our schools, to the students and staff who volunteer to support others, these contributions bring our value of Contribute to Society to life every day.
For example, at Corby Technical School, Sixth Form Reading Buddies volunteer their time to help younger students develop their reading skills and confidence, while at Kettering Science Academy, students have contributed an incredible 104 hours of volunteering through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Thank you to everyone who gives their time to make a difference in our school communities.

We’re really pleased that two of our schools have been recognised in the TEP Spring 2026 Census. Gretton Primary Academy received the Employee Wellbeing & Workload Award (top 10% nationally) and Peckover Primary School received the Employee Satisfaction Award (top 10% nationally).
This is the first time we’ve taken part in the TEP Census (which runs three times a year), so it’s great to see such positive early results. A big thank you our colleagues, pupils and communities for everything you do every day 👏
We’re thrilled to share that our school has been recognised with the Employee Satisfaction Award in the TEP Spring 2026 Census, placing us among the top 10% of schools nationally 🌟
The census captures feedback from colleagues across the school and, as this is the first time Brooke Weston Trust and its schools have taken part, it’s especially rewarding to see such a positive response.
Thank you to our brilliant staff, pupils and wider community for helping create such a welcoming, supportive and positive environment every day!

Supporting positive mental health starts with the small everyday conversations.
Across Brooke Weston Trust, our schools have been finding meaningful ways to mark and encourage positive conversations around wellbeing 💚
At Beanfield Primary School, pupils in Robins class enjoyed “Wearing it Green” and took part in positive affirmation colouring activities, exploring how speaking kindly to ourselves can support good mental health.
