🛠️ Little hands, big learning 🌱

Today in preschool, the children had an amazing time using a handheld drill. They made holes in conkers for an enjoyable threading project, and their efforts were fantastic!

Activities like this offer plenty of advantages for the children, such as:
✍️Fine Motor Skills: Using tools like the drill enhances their hand movements through gripping, squeezing, and manipulation.
🧠 Concentration and Independence: Tool exploration gives children a sense of purpose and encourages them to try tasks on their own.
✋ Hand Strength and Control: Repeating activities like this helps develop the precision needed for everyday tasks.
🔢Problem Solving: Children discover how to use different tools, whether it’s lifting an object, creating something new, or rearranging items.

Some of our preschoolers took the babies for a short stroll. They practised strapping the little ones safely into the buggy, which was great for their learning. After that, they enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine, pushing the buggies. We also let the babies out of the pushchair so the preschoolers could hold their hands and explore together.
