🕊️ Catholic Education Week 2026 — The Year of St Francis
This week, we joined schools and parishes across the Diocese of Northampton to celebrate Catholic Education Week.
Marking 800 years since the death of St Francis of Assisi, our school community reflected on his example of peace, love for others and care for creation, and how we can bring these values into our everyday lives.
Throughout the week, our students took part in reflections, prayers and assemblies, exploring the importance of kindness, compassion and caring for our common home.
🌍🌱 Earth Day Assemblies | Caring for Our Common Home
Our assemblies began with thoughtful reflections and prayers led by our Chaplain, Mrs Darwin, followed by a beautiful performance of Look at the World by our School Choir, conducted by Mrs Campaña and accompanied by Mr White. 🎶
We then welcomed Mr Polley and members of our fantastic School Eco Team, who led our Earth Day assemblies, encouraging us to consider the impact of our everyday choices and the small actions we can take to protect our planet. 🌿
Today, our student musicians will represent our school community at the Diocesan Schools’ Mass at St Mary’s, Dunstable, where they will lead the music as part of this special celebration, bringing Catholic Education Week to a wonderful close. 🎶
A huge thank you to everyone involved, particularly our wonderful students, for making Catholic Education Week such a meaningful celebration and reminding us that even the smallest acts of peace, kindness and care can make a difference.
