We are delighted to share the focus of our upcoming Early Years Network meeting, based on the feedback received from our recent event.

The next event will take place on Wednesday 1st July at Pineham Barns Primary School. This session will explore how highly effective outdoor provision can enhance children's wellbeing, engagement and achievement. As well as the opportunities that outdoor learning provides and how we can create environments that inspire curiosity, independence and meaningful learning experiences.

Please come prepared to share examples of your outdoor provision, ask questions and contribute to the conversation. We look forward to welcoming you and continuing to grow our community of passionate Early Years practitioners.

Holne Chase Primary pupils recently enjoyed a series of engaging activity sessions with Caterlink, including biscuit making and bread making.

These practical sessions provided participants with the opportunity to develop important everyday skills, including following instructions, measuring ingredients, teamwork, communication, and time management. Activities such as baking can also help build confidence, encourage independence, and support wellbeing through positive social interaction.

Thank you to Caterlink for delivering such engaging activities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Pineham Barns Primary School last night for the very first Northamptonshire Early Years Network meeting.

It was great to welcome over 40 early years specialists from across the county and to see colleagues so willing to connect, share practice and start building something meaningful together.

There was lots of inspiring conversations about the things that matter most — giving every child the best possible start. From early writing and muddy outdoor learning to practical ways to strengthen provision, it was fantastic to hear about all the amazing work happening across Northamptonshire.

Caroline Stewart, our Executive Principal at Pineham Barns Primary, reflected on the strong engagement from colleagues and the positive feeling that the network is the beginning of something important for the sector locally. Caroline also shared thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to such a thoughtful and collaborative first session, and extended a warm invitation for others across the county to get involved.

Details of the next meeting will be shared shortly via https://lnkd.in/e8mpHqWi

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 6 pupils on completing their SATs this week

We are incredibly proud of the resilience, determination and positive attitude you have shown throughout. You approached each day with confidence and maturity, and should all feel very proud of yourselves. Now it’s time to relax, celebrate your hard work and enjoy the rest of your final term in primary school.

SATs are just one way for schools to measure how well pupils are progressing in key areas such as reading, maths and grammar. They help teachers identify strengths and areas where extra support may be needed, while also giving secondary schools information to support a smooth transition into Year 7. Most importantly, SATs do not define a child — every pupil shines in different ways, and as a Trust, we celebrate all of their talents, achievements and growth.

A special thank you to all of our dedicated staff for their continued hard work, encouragement and support throughout the year. Your commitment to helping every child feel confident and prepared has made a huge difference.
