HO, HO, HO!

We wish you a Merry Christmas with Santa.

The children got very excited to see Santa and we spoke to him about how well behaved we have been.

This Christmas song is one of our favourites.

Extending our theme "our body", This week we have discussed the importance of being healthy and clean.
We spoke about healthy food, exercise, germs and how we wash hands.

Following this conversation and observing the children's interests.

Today we have set up a water activity to help clean, clothe and nurture our dollies.

There are many benefits of Water Play in Early Childhood Development.
1. Develop Motor skills
2. Problem-solving skills
3. Language development
4. Social-emotional growth
5. Science and Mathematics learning

This week we are learning about our bodies.

For all ages we encourage to learn about the human body.
We have identified how we may be different, our features and what we like about ourselves.

Here is our Preschool teacher/ keyworker working with a group of children to identify different body parts, we lead this activity onto focus about what we may use these body parts for.

For example, feet for walking, nose for smelling and anything else.

We then went into the garden and asked the children to make gross and fine motor movements with the different body parts.
