Today we had a little visitor to Zone 2 and the learners loved it! Welcome to Rushmere 'Billie-Jean' the tortoise..... how you engaged the learners was amazing and you are welcome back anytime 🥰

How clever to compare you (a real-life animal/reptile) to Pokeman characters as part of our ASDAN Life Skills programme.

The students loved changing your bedding, bathing and feeding you. It was great to see them being so kind and gentle too.... who knew a tortoise could be so calming 🫶

Our lovely Centre Coordinator Michelle celebrates 19 years at Rushmere today 💜 I'm sure you will join us in celebrating her commitment to learners from across the County 🫶

She has supported 1000's of young people in the education journey, from her original role as a Tutor, Chelle has worked her way up to her current role 👏 She is also our DSL. If you snapped her in half she would have Rushmere at her core.... so passionate about what we do and is of young people's 'Miss Honey' - the professional who had a huge impact during their adolescence. WELL DONE CHELLE. You ARE Rushmere 🙏
