We’re back from our holiday in Wales—full of beaches, campfires, and Bees out at sea...of course! 🐝🐝🌊🌊

Here’s how the schedule rolls for this month at Parrots Playground:

👶 Wednesday: Babies & Crawlers *errr all full
🧒 Thursday: Toddlers and preschoolers.

Our storytime this week is Eric Carle’s The Very Lonely Firefly 💡✨ Except I don't have the lightbulb prop. Gosh I have some work to do tomorrow.

🦜The Parrots Afterparty Starts tomorrow with limited spaces across the week for you. One last wave of our scarf and ring of our bells before schools out for summer ☀️

The set list? Spice Girls, Elton John, The Beatles, Oasis and of course The Lightning Seeds ⚡ Hopefully we will still be singing it loud and proud on Thursday...see you there? Head to the drop ins on the website!

Two weeks into term already! 😳

Last week we all lived in a Yellow Submarine... 🎶🚢💛

This week we've been trying (and failing) to catch The Gingerbread Man! 🍪🏃

If your toddler would like to join the chase, we still have a few Thursday spaces available.

Next week: 📮🚚 POSTMAN PAT! 🚚📮

The children won't know who he is, but the grown-ups will be VERY excited...or maybe thats just me. I don't know if I count as a grown up...

🌞When it's far too hot to go outside, I try to make as much mess in every room with the fabric stash. The kiddos enjoyed helping me make the fish for the big leaf (if you know, you know) 🐠🐟 It was time they got a glow up.

This is the small stash of offcuts. The teeny ones. There are bin bags full of recycled fabrics in the loft. Waiting for a moment like this!

I will get super organised for next week's new term tomorrow. We can't wait to welcome you back - til then I shall be soaking up the last bit of half term with the littlest 🌞

🥉3rd place: An Old Lady who swallowed a Fly - gosh that old lady puppet got some love from the littles. Emotional support needed!

🥈2nd place: Oasis - Half the world away. Apparently these babies have an eclectic taste in music!

🥇1st Place: Monkey Puzzle. Who can resist a butterfly?

We’re back… slightly windswept, a bit sandy, and still finding fossils in our pockets!

Dorset, you were a dream! We went full-on fossil hunters 🦴, climbed cliffs like mini mountain goats (well Harvey and the kids did), splashed in the freezing sea and bravely battled the coastal winds (hair did not survive 💨). The kids had an absolute blast!

And just like that… it’s back to reality 😅
Well a teacher training day - so we will have helpers.
The new spring term of Parrots Playground starts TOMORROW! 🎉

We’re excited, recharged (kind of??) and ready for more fun, chaos, and adventures with all your little explorers 🦜💛

🚘🛼 I did it! I passed my driving test...and to celebrate we went for a family scoot/rollerskate where I was feeling the vibes a bit too much, broke my wrist and got the thumbs down for driving for the next 6 weeks. Whoops Harv!!

Today is the first time in 6 years we had to cancel - we were all ready to go ahead and clap my one good hand, wind one bobbin up when the hospital called because they want to pin it. Who knows when but more x rays today.

Classes will be going ahead the rest of the week unless you hear otherwise (will msg) - have no clue of the timeframe yet. So so sorry to our Parrots tribe today.

We arrived in glorious winter sunshine with a night of clear skies...we awoke to the rain setting in but it couldn't have been anymore perfect!

We will have showered and are feeling pretty zen but the set list for tomorrow is a tad slap dash - pre warning!
