The WABC adaptive Boxing igniting the inner flame and fighting adaptive prejudice
Boxing has always been a sport that creates different feelings and with concerns. Some think it should be banned because of its brutality and the risk of brain trauma. Yet it is one of the most popular combat sports in the world.
In recent years, WABC President Colin Wood adaptive boxing founder & Vice President Abelo J Jesus has also been gaining popularity among people with disabilities in other countries, including wheelchair & amputee users preparing to showcase in 2025. While some people find it hard to imagine boxing in a wheelchair or for adaptive to box, some others manage to find their passion and purpose in life again through it and we should include all. In 2025 we will see some great stories unfold as we see a new ERA for adaptive box and with safety a key word to the WABC format.
