Tiny toes ballet places learning at the heart of the curriculum. It is the only pre-school ballet programme in the UK that is fully integrated with the EYFS curriculum, having been founded and developed by not only a Professionally trained Classical Ballet Dancer and Qualified Ballet teacher but also a highly experienced Primary School Teacher. Our Award-Winning Programme offers fun, educational dance classes for babies and children from 6 months - 7 years old when their development is at its prime.

“Ballet is the foundation of all dance genres. However, Tiny Toes Ballet is far more than just ballet; our pupils are ‘learning through dance’. Children learn by doing and dance is naturally kinaesthetic. Our programme focuses on movement, a child’s language and enhances everything from motor coordination to rhythm, language and social skills. Pupils learn basic ballet technique, whilst learning about the world around them and even have the opportunity to perform in professional performances. It’s all in the fingers… 🩰🫧✨

Last week’s learning objective was all about those beautiful ballet fingers!

Our youngest dancers practised their little pincer fingers by popping bubbles 🫧, while our Twirlers & Spinners learnt all about their two special ballet fingers that gently connect to create those lovely soft ballet hands. We then added our colourful scarves, helping the children to relax and soften their wrists as they moved, all preparing them for beautiful port de bras (carriage of the arms). 💕🩰

So much learning is hidden inside our magical classes… even popping bubbles and waving scarves are building the foundations of ballet technique! ✨

Today we huffed, we puffed… and we échappéd! 😂 Our Three Little Pigs theme helped our dancers really visualise their échappés jumping their feet open and closed while trying to blow those houses down! 🐷🏠✨

Some of our little dancers are starting school this week! 🎒🩰

That first day can bring so many emotions; excitement, nerves and maybe a few tears (from parents too! 🥹)

But did you know that all those little things we practise at tiny toes ballet such as taking turns, listening, joining in, making friends and growing in confidence have been helping your little one get ready for school too? 💕

🩰 🌟 A very special tiny toes ballet journey from start to end 🩰 A gorgeous little toddler turned up at my brand new taster class back in July 2021! And has been with me at every single class since then starting in twinkle toes, then talent toes, twirlers and then Spinners until her very last class last Sunday. It was an emotional goodbye but luckily her cheeky little sister has started her journey with us too and I get to do it all over again with such a special family 💖. I truly hope I’ve inspired Lucy to love and appreciate music and dance and I know she will take with her everything she has learned over the past 5 years. I will miss her so much 🥺 but so grateful that I got to be her first ever ballet teacher. Go and spread you wings 🦋
