When pottery goes horribly wrong… they don’t show you this on the Great Pottery Throwdown 😂

There are a myriad of different clays to choose from these days… but it’s CRUCIAL to choose the right one otherwise kiln-unloading can quickly go from exciting event to horror-show 😬

Believe it or not these were once bowls before they melted during firing 🥵

Not all pottery is made on a wheel…

If you fancy having a go at handbuilding then our next 6-week course will be running at The Depot on Wednesday mornings (10am to 12.30pm) starting 4 November 😀

This course covers the fundamental handbuilding techniques of coiling, slabbing and pinching - as well as glazing & decoration options for your pieces.

And as with all our 6-week courses… a studio membership is INCLUDED in your course fee: come and use the studio outside of your weekly class!
