βοΈ Half Term Fun! π¨ππΏ
We have had a lovely half term, packed with fun, exploration and plenty of opportunities to learn through play!
The children enjoyed a special trip to DelaprΓ© Abbey, where we explored the surroundings and enjoyed a change of scenery. It was a wonderful opportunity to develop curiosity and learn about the world around us.
We made the most of the beautiful weather with lots of fun in the sun, spending time outdoors playing, exploring and enjoying the fresh air. βοΈ
Back at setting, the children got creative with painting, expressing themselves through colour and mark-making. We also enjoyed a variety of sensory activities, encouraging the children to explore different textures, materials and experiences through hands-on play.
There was plenty of movement and excitement too, with lots of dancing, helping the children develop their coordination, confidence and self-expression.
It has been a fantastic half term full of smiles, creativity and memorable experiences. We hope everyone has a wonderful week ππ

π Insect Week Fun! ππ¦
This week we enjoyed a wonderful Insect Week, where the children explored lots of different bugs and insects through play, discussion and hands-on activities. The children showed lots of curiosity as we talked about where insects live and why they are important to our world.
On Wednesday, we celebrated World Bee Day, learning all about bees and how they make honey. The children especially loved tasting honey on toast, which sparked lots of conversations about flavours, textures and where our food comes from. π―π
We also enjoyed a lovely visit to the park, giving the children opportunities to explore nature, build physical skills and enjoy the fresh air.
To finish the week, we had a very special moment as we released our butterflies after watching them grow and change over the past few weeks. The children loved watching them fly away and learning more about the butterfly life cycle. π¦
It has been a fantastic week full of exploration, discovery and outdoor learning! π

A very exciting part of our week has been continuing to observe our caterpillars, which are now in the metamorphosis stage. The children have loved watching the changes and talking about how caterpillars turn into butterflies. π¦

π· Welcome Back & Our First Weeks of Learning! π¨π
We hope everyone had a lovely Easter break! It has been so nice to welcome the children back and hear all about their holidays, as well as welcoming some new friends into our setting.
In our first week back, we enjoyed a creative Art Week, where the children explored colour mixing, got active with dancing, and had fun baking together. It was a great way to encourage creativity, self-expression and teamwork. π¨
Last week, our focus was βWhere We Liveβ, where the children explored their understanding of the world around them. We had lots of fun making Earth biscuits, doing our own building and construction, and looking at photos of our homes, which encouraged lots of discussion and early communication. ππ
To finish the week, we enjoyed some lovely outings, including a trip to Northampton Museum and Art Gallery and a visit to the bakery, giving the children valuable real-life experiences and opportunities to explore new environments.
Itβs been a fantastic couple of weeks full of creativity, curiosity and settling back into our routines! π
