🌲🔥 What a wonderful way to end the week! 🔥🌲

Our pupils enjoyed a magical afternoon in our Forest School area, gathered around the fire pit listening to fascinating folklore tales. With mugs of hot chocolate topped with plenty of squirty cream, everyone settled in to enjoy the stories, the warmth of the fire and the beauty of the outdoors.

It was a perfect opportunity to develop listening skills, spark imaginations and create special memories together. A fantastic end to a busy week, full of smiles, laughter and a little bit of woodland magic! 🍂☕✨

🌟 Our Bumblebee Class had a fantastic PE session exploring and using a range of apparatus! 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

The children demonstrated great enthusiasm, confidence and resilience as they balanced, climbed, jumped and travelled in different ways. They challenged themselves to try new movements, developed their coordination and control, and worked safely while exploring the equipment.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, children encouraging one another, and growing confidence as they practised and refined their physical skills. A great session full of active learning, teamwork and fun! ⭐️

🍂🌳 Year 5 and 6 Forest School Adventure 🌳🍂

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed spending time in our Forest School area this week, exploring the wonderful signs of autumn all around them. The children carefully observed the changing colours of the leaves, discovered fallen seeds and berries, and learnt how trees prepare for the colder months ahead.

We also took the opportunity to investigate the wildlife that shares our outdoor space. The children were excited to spot signs of voles and learn more about the toads and frogs that call our wildlife area home. 🐸🍁

Congratulations to one of our pupils who decided she wanted to raise money for St Oswald's Hospice in memory of Niamh.

She came up with the idea of a stall and helped get it organised selling her "Spooky Lemonade". The total has already exceeded £70.

Well done and thank you for all your donations. They mean alot!

What a wonderful celebration of community, gratitude and togetherness! 🌾🍎

Harvest Service 2026 🍂

Today we enjoyed a special Harvest Service at church, led by Padre John, with contributions from children across the whole school. It was a particularly memorable occasion as it was the very first time our EYFS Bumblebees performed as part of a whole-school assembly, and they were absolutely fantastic!

We were incredibly proud of all our children for their excellent behaviour and sensible walking to and from church. A special thank you goes to our Year 5 and 6 pupils, who were superb role models and helpers.

Through poems, songs and prayers, the children reflected on the many gifts of nature, the importance of giving to others and the need to remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. It was a thoughtful and uplifting service that highlighted the kindness, compassion and respect shown by our school community.

Thank you to Padre John for leading such a meaningful service and to all the children and staff who helped make it a memorable occasion.
