Looby Lou's Complete Childcare

The Risers have enjoyed playing in an ocean tuff tray where they explored the texture using their senses. They described what it smelt like, as well as the feeling. The Risers had group discussions while playing with this, learning about the different sea creatures that live in the ocean. 🐬🦈🪼
They also made their own fruit juices! The Risers used different utensils to squeeze the fruits. They used descriptive language as they explored the smell, taste and feel of the different fruits and liquids such as "It's sour", "Cold"', "Wet" and lots more. This activity also promoted the children’s fine and gross motor skills as they used the utensils, jugs and their hands throughout. 🍊🍋‍🟩🍋

Cruisers had fun understanding the world and learning about mini beasts in their sensory tray. They explored the texture of the spaghetti and promoted their fine motor skills as they practiced using the tweezers. Staff modelled language using descriptive key words. 🐞🪲🦗

This sounds like a fun day out for humans and furry friends alike.

This weeks employee of the week was Jane. She is amazing as what she does, gets stuck in and isn't afraid to think outside the box.

Kids Club has been a go this Summer Holidays!

We have enjoyed visits from our local care homes, Kensington and Mount Vale where the residents and staff attended our ‘Kids Club Rocks 2026’ festival. We all thoroughly had fun making friendship bracelets, headbands and used face paints and hair sprays along with hosting our very own magic potion show.🎫

We have had trips out to the park and a train trip to the science museum where the children explored the planetarium, science dome, dinosaur world and light show. The children learnt a variety of scientific facts throughout the day and even bagged themselves first class on the train where we met Nick the Train Driver who kindly gave the children biscuits and colouring books. 🚊

On top of this, we have had talent shows, film day’s, fun with the water equipment, sports day and a barbeque! We are looking forward to many more exciting themes as we continue our Summer Holiday’s 🌞

Kensington residents Kay, Marjorie and Barbara had a lovely trip out to Looby Lou's during their Nursery Open Afternoon. They had fun making friendship bracelets with the children.

The employee of this week was the incredible Rosie. She is reliable hard working and has a natural flare with all the children.
