We have celebrated World Ocean Day where the children had lots of fun playing with different materials as they shared their knowledge on the different sea creatures we may find in the ocean and surrounding, as well as learning new facts about these.

The children explored the different textures of the sand and materials, sharing ideas together. 🦀🐬🐠

The Risers had a wonderful time on our trip to Teesaurus park yesterday, they did plenty of exploring with each other as they looked for dinosaurs and followed their footprints. The children were interested in learning different facts about the Dinosaurs before heading over to Stewart's park to release some energy and enjoying a picnic lunch together. 🦖🌳🦕

Thankyou to The Little Book Nook for the opportunity to do a sponsored read and listen event, we raised an amazing £300 which meant we had £390 to spend on books! We chose a great selection of books including these amazing books we can use in our garden, there were lots to choose from and the rest of the books have been distributed across all the rooms. We look forward to more reading and learning opportunities in the future📚✨

We celebrated World Bee Day with some yellow themed playdough where the children created their own 'Bees.' They used their fine and gross motor skills, kneading the playdough and exploring different stencils. The children also enjoyed painting their own bees using paints and other materials like googly eyes. 🐝🍯

We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded the silver award for Healthy Early Years!

A big thank you to those who took part in the Ready, Steady, Listen event where we raised £300! We are looking forward to receiving the books. 📚

The Wombles have generously let us use their litter pickers so this afternoon our Risers have headed out on a nature walk to gather up any litter we found on the way. There was lots of enjoyment as they spotted various treasures on the way including cans and a pair of glasses! They did a great job at helping clean our environment clean. ☺️🌿🌍

We have learnt all about the Earth this week, exploring sensory trays, mark making and creating their own envisions of the world using different creative materials. Lots of discussions were had about different countries and their habitats, along with where we live and the different seasons we experience. 🌍
