πββοΈπ§οΈ Intermediate Boys Shine at Regional B Final! π₯π
A huge well done to our Intermediate Boys Athletics Team who produced a fantastic performance on 3rd June at the North East of England Regional B Athletics Final at Middlesbrough Sports Village! πͺπ₯
After successfully qualifying through the North Yorkshire County Round, the team rose to the challenge once again β delivering an outstanding display in very wet and challenging conditions. βπ
The boysβ field events unfortunately took place during the worst of the weather π§οΈ, but this didnβt stop them from achieving some tremendous results, putting us into an impressive 2nd place heading into the afternoon track events.
On the track, the team stepped up even further with a series of superb performances, including a number of personal bests despite the wind and rain π¨
πββοΈ. Their determination and resilience were incredible!
Although we gave it everything and closed the gap, we were just unable to catch St John Fisherβs School, finishing in a fantastic 2nd place overall π₯β a brilliant achievement that the whole school is extremely proud of! ππ
Boys, you were awesome! π
With the upcoming H&R Championships later in June, where youβll compete in your individual year groups, weβre very confident of aiming for top spots in both Year 9 and Year 10 competitions π₯π₯
A special thank you to Cameron and Reece (Year 12) for their invaluable help with the team and their support in the high jump competition ππ
Well done everyone!
