Another huge thank you to Miss Matthews and Mrs Williams for putting together such a beautiful picnic yesterday to celebrate Mrs Maltby’s leaving 😍.
Dear Year 6 parents,
As this final week of primary school is half-way through, take a moment to pause and soak it all in.
Think back to that very first school morning, when they looked so tiny in a uniform that seemed far too big. Remember the nervous smiles, the reassuring hugs, and the little hand that reached for yours as you walked through the school gates.
Since then, there have been sports days, school plays, assemblies, friendships, certificates proudly brought home, artwork stuck to the fridge, lost jumpers, packed lunches, and countless stories about their day. Somehow, those years that once felt so long have passed in the blink of an eye.
If you can, walk them to school one last time. Hold onto that hand for a little longer, take a few extra photos, and let yourself feel every emotion that comes with this milestone.
It’s perfectly okay to feel proud, excited, nostalgic, and even a little sad all at once.
Primary school may be coming to an end, but it has given them the confidence, friendships, memories, and foundations they’ll carry with them forever. And now, they’re ready for the next chapter.
You have loved them, encouraged them, picked them up after hard days, celebrated their achievements, and helped them become the amazing young person they are today.
Be proud of them.
But also be proud of yourself.
You got them this far.
The next adventure is waiting.
Have a wonderful summer 🥰
