π¬π SCIENCE FAIR TOMORROW! ππ¬
Did you know that many of our Science Fair activities are completely FREE?
Come along and explore the amazing science projects created by our pupils. Every class has been working incredibly hard, and we'd love for you to see the fantastic learning, creativity and scientific thinking on display.
π View all of our class science projects for free
π Watch exciting water rocket launches
π Take part in STEM activities
π Learn something new and be inspired by our young scientists
Most importantly, we'd love to see our school community come together and make the event a great success. A well-attended fair means so much to the children who have put their time, effort and enthusiasm into their projects.
Whether you stay for ten minutes or the whole afternoon, we'd love to welcome you. Pop in, have a look around, enjoy an ice pop or a cuppa (if you like), and celebrate the brilliant science happening at Brompton Community Primary School.

This week our Early Years children have been very busy exploring things that pop...or not! We had lots of fun learning how to make "unpoppable" bubbles.
We have also been searching everywhere for Evil Pea after he caused lots of mischief in our classroom!

π This week in Year 2! π
This week we have had fun acting in role as the main characters from our class text 'The Secret of Black Rock.' The children really enjoyed getting into the characters and used their voices and facial expressions to enhance their performances.
π Well done Year 2! π

π¦π¬ Year 6 Evolution Investigation π¬π¦
Today, Year 6 stepped into the shoes of Charles Darwin as they put his theory of evolution to the test!
Using a variety of different "beaks" to represent those of the finches Darwin observed on the GalΓ‘pagos Islands, the children competed to collect a range of "seeds" of different sizes. Through this hands-on investigation, they discovered how certain beak shapes are better adapted to particular food sources, helping species survive and thrive over time.
The activity sparked some fantastic scientific thinking and discussion about adaptation, natural selection and evolution.
π€ Would you like to guess which beak was the most successful at collecting the seeds? Share your predictions in the comments below!

What a wonderful end of term week we have had in Foundation Stage. The children did a spectacular show of "The Little Red Hen" for all of our parents and carers and did themselves proud with some very enthusiastic singing and dancing!
To finish our week we also had a visit from some very adorable ducklings and we will be voting on their names over the holiday.
