Kings Lynn Soccer School held their own World Cup tournament on Sunday 26th July.
After 6-8 weeks of fun filled sessions, learning the FUNdamentals of football in safe and friendly environment we hosted Italy, Holland, Brazil, England, Germany and Cape Verde…
In the younger section the players all received medals for their fabulous football shown where they demonstrated tackles, passes, defending, running with the ball, their dribbling skills and fine finishing. England made it to the finals but were beaten by Germany.
The older section had England, Italy, Holland and Brazil. The football was sublime, great drag back turns, the players vision for a pass, their agility, confidence to run at players eagerness to get the shots off and team work were to be admired. It really was a spectacle to behold. England once again made it to the finals and again were pipped at the post (literally) by those representing Italy with only 1 point difference.
