π§Έπ π We have celebrated the 100th Birthday of Sir David Attenborough this week β£οΈ
The children made and posted a special card using inspiring quotes from Sir David while developing literacy and language skills. π
We explored small world land animal and ocean play encouraging imagination, friendships and communication.π¦§π
ππ¦
In the caterpillar to butterfly tuff tray the children used pipettes to add colours while counting the caterpillar parts, supporting maths and fine motor skills. ππ¦ We also made life cycle of a frog books and learned how frogspawn grows into frogs. πΈ
The children enjoyed under the sea play by listening to shells and made us proud by clearing rubbish from the ocean, learning about caring for the environment. β»οΈ
We also read a story about Sir David's life from a young boy to adulthood. πΆπ½π§ββοΈ
We shared party food in the garden and enjoyed a jungle animal train adventure, developing gross motor and teamwork skills π¦π΅π»π―
