Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our preschool is a friendly welcoming environment open to every family in the community. Our staff members are highly qualified and any child with an additional need or disability can be catered for, including gifted & talented children. At our last Ofsted inspection April 2023, we were graded GOOD across the board. Our sessions are a combination of a familiar, settled routine with exciting events inspired by your child's interests. The most important thing about learning through play is that it should be FUN! We offer yoga / mindfulness sessions, multi sports and forest school sessions. Literacy and mathematics activities are included ever week. We also offer fantastic outdoor learning at forest school. We work together with the local primary school to ensure a smooth transition. We welcome all children to our setting, regardless of their requirements and do our very best to ensure that the children's needs our met and they can flourish in a safe and healthy environment. As children come into our setting, their progress is monitored using FAMLY and other tracking tools to ensure that the child is developing well. Any areas that may meet the SEND requirements are flagged up and referred to our SENCO staff member and parents are informed and involved with this process. We have experienced staff who will carry out interventions to help plug any learning gaps in the first instance. If further help is needed, our staff will work closely with other support networks and parents to gain the best possible outcome for the child. All children are unique and it is very important that our staff have the tools to recognize when a child may be feeling anxious or worried about something or need extra support in their development. We are open all year round but take a week break to accommodate the Worstead Festival and a week at Christmas. We are also closed for bank holidays. We offer Breakfast Club from 8 am, including a healthy breakfast and an Early Club at 8.30 am. We also run a Parent, Baby & Toddler Group, which is open every Friday from 9.30am-11.30, which is in the adjacent village hall. We have also been nominated by The self-weigh Project Team - Norfolk & Waveney Children & Young People's Health Services to have a Baby Self-Weigh Station within the group. This means that families can weigh their babies on Fridays between 9:30am - 11:30am.
