Positive reviews are always important when you’re self employed and trying to build a successful, professional business. My passion has always been to share my musical experience and enjoyment from playing music with others, and so it always tugs at my heart strings when I receive a review as follows. I just wanted to share: Let live music live on!
“Martin has been teaching my daughter for a year. She was grade 2 when she started but did NOT want to do any more grades as piano was her main instrument.
Martin was very receptive to this, listened to her concerns and instead they have had a year of having lots of fun together. ‘Jamming’ as she calls it. He has kept her love of saxophone alive and has taught her all sorts of wonderful things that you don’t learn when strictly sticking to the grading system.
She has come on leaps and bounds and he has given her so much confidence in herself that she now learns pieces on the piano and translates them into saxophone independently to play at school. She also got a music scholarship where they commented on how much fun she has when playing saxophone. It’s tangible.
This was all we wanted and Martin has gone above and beyond. He is a wonderful teacher who absolutely fosters a passion and understanding of music that is hard to find. I’m so happy we found him at a point when I thought she might give up.
Cannot recommend highly enough. He’s a gem.”
