Our Philosophy
We feel that a
qualification is like taking a journey, it Is not enough to just know your destination but to understand how you will get their and the time it will take you to achieve it. We encourage our learners to strive towards meaningful goals and support them as they solve the problems they encounter so that they gain increased levels of autonomy. Our philosophy is applied to all levels of our assessing, mentoring and support. This qualification allows learners to demonstrate competence against National occupational Standards. The aim of the NVQ’s is to stretch and enhance the candidate’s performance in the workplace enabling them to provide evidence to meet the requirements of each unit. The Mandatory and Optional Units have been designed to ensure that candidates develop a balance between personal and technical competencies. This makes the qualification diagnostic, developmental, demanding and qualifying. Some candidates may be required to expand their current job role to achieve the units required. Some of the qualifications can be used to gain Professional Memberships and all can be used to gain CSCS Cards. Completing Your NVQ
At MSC Training Ltd we use a variety of assessment methods to ensure you are meeting the requirements for the qualification you are undertaking, you are not required to sit in a classroom environment to be able to gain your NVQ Diploma all the assessment takes place at work, as Assessment plan is completed with your Assessor and feedback is given at each meeting. You can use one piece of evidence to prove your knowledge, skills and understanding across different assessment criteria and/ or across different units. It is, therefore not necessary for you to have each assessment criterion assessed separately. You will be encouraged to reference the assessment criteria to which evidence relates. Your Assessor will guide you through your qualification and is available by phone, email and skype in between their visits. Our Qualifications include:-
