I am a small business providing a dedicated service for your pooch as if they were my own.

Hoochie Poochie Dog Grooming will open for business in North Berwick in April 2014 and will provide the highest quality bespoke grooming services and products to customers. As a dog owner myself, my business has come about from my desire to make the grooming process as stress free an experience as possible for both pet and owner. After looking at different grooming schools, I decided to enroll on

a professional dog grooming course at Scotlands Pet Industry Federation accredited grooming training centre where I would be taught to groom to 'breed standard' on a range of dogs and would also be taught varying 'pet styles'. I also have a Certificate in Canine First Aid so owners can rest assured that their pets are in the best possible hands. I aim to provide a service as individual as your dog and will allocate a treatment that suits their coat and skin, using the best hypoallergenic shampoos and conditioners.

Had the pleasure of spending some time with cutie patootie, Mylo this morning 😍
First time coming to a groomers so we cuddle dried and went nice a slow. Lots of praise, rewards and cuddles. Happy days!
There’s nothing more satisfying than having a furry bestie arrive nervous but settle in and put their trust in me. That’s what it’s all about 👌

🌟Little Miss Maisie certainly landed on her feet with her new humom 💕 my 2nd time grooming this little champ and she’s not phased at all. Just look at her 😍 Full of sass.
It’s the saddest of times when we have to say goodbye to our furry besties and they are always irreplaceable but when the time is right for you to welcome another 4 legged (or 3) family member into your home then please know my books are always open for you.

🚨 Saturday experiment! 🚨

I’ve been having a little think… 🤔

As most of you know, I’m a Monday–Friday groomer, and I quite enjoy keeping my weekends for muddy walks, family time, cups of tea and recharging! ☕🐾

But… I’m wondering about opening the salon for the occasional Saturday (definitely not every week! 😅).

My idea is to have themed Saturdays – for example:
🐾 Spaniel Saturday
🐾 Border Terrier Saturday
🐾 Doodle Day
🐾 Schnauzer Saturday
…you get the idea!

I’d pop the date on here around 2 weeks in advance, and once it’s full, it’s full.

Before I give it a go, I wanted to see if there’s actually any interest!

Would a Saturday appointment be helpful for you? Let me know in the comments (and tell me what breed day you’d love to see! 🐶❤️)

No promises just yet… I’m just seeing whether it’s worth swapping the odd Saturday lie-in for a day spent making your gorgeous pups look and feel amazing! ✂️🐕

Hi everyone,

Missing all you lovely lot!

A little update from me — I had very optimistically planned to be back grooming on Monday doing some smaller doggos but my body has firmly vetoed that idea 😅

I’m healing well, just not as fast as I had hoped and not quite ready for full days on my feet yet — as much as I’d love to see all your lovely furry besties, they deserve better than a slightly wobbly groomer who needs a lie down halfway through a haircut!

I completely understand this will be inconvenient (and that some of your dogs may now be entering their “wild and woolly” era 🐑 or hairy mammoth 🦣 stage so if you need to go elsewhere for a one-off groom in the meantime, I absolutely understand 🐾 It’s not what I had intended to happen but sometimes some things don’t always go to plan 🙄 and we have to make other arrangements 🙂

The aim is to come back properly healed and back to my normal routine — not rush it and end up off even longer. I will be pencilling in some dates (starting with the little ones) while I am off and be in touch with everyone individually.

Thank you all so much for your patience, kindness and lovely messages — it really does mean a lot 💛
I’ll keep you posted and can’t wait to see all your furry besties again soon… ideally before they start needing braids 😄

💕🐾Hey everyone,

Radio silence on the socials yet again but still been busy working away behind the scenes.
My diary has been at a bit of a standstill until I had some dates in but now I do so I can plan accordingly.
I will be off from 24 March for around 4 weeks (poss can return to wee dogs slightly earlier if I feel good) for a minor surgical procedure, nothing dramatic, just getting something sorted that’s been bothering me a while but will need to heal.
This means I will be contacting everyone directly who are booked from then to near end of April to rearrange an appropriate time.
I will be adding some extra hours in next few weeks for regulars who would like an appointment before I’m off.
Best way to contact me is to text my number as im not always on the business pages.
On a positive note, from May onwards I should be a new woman and raring to go 😂
Thank you all for your understanding and your continued support which really means a lot when you’re self employed.
