✨NEW TEACHER✨
I want to introduce everyone to our new teacher Katie Moore who will be covering the classes at our school while I am studying in Cardiff!
Katie Moore is now sweet 16, but started dance when she was only 5 years old. Katie started competing with the Michelle Johnston School of Highland Dance in the Primary category and very quickly progressed through the ranks to Premier. In the Premier category Katie has placed highly in Competitions & Pre-Championship events locally and internationally.
Katie's most recent competitive highlight is winning The Ards and North down Highland dancing Competition. This is a close to home contest that has a lovely atmosphere in the midst of the Pipe Band Championships.
Katie has gained plenty of performance and choreography experience by being a vital team member in the Belfast International Tattoo for 3 consecutive years and the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland's Peace Proms for 2 consecutive years.
Katie has an eye for detail and excellent technical skill which has been demonstrated in her honourary exam results. Following theory grades, Katie is now aiming to become an Associate Teacher with the Scottish Dance Teachers' Alliance later this year. Katie has been building her experience and confidence by helping in the Beginner classes at Michelle Johnston’s School of Higland Dance.
I am delighted to have Katie as our new teacher and i know the dancers will have a great time with her!
