Tomorrow’s the day, the doors will open wide,
With little hands and grown-ups by your side.
New friends and laughter are waiting to begin,
At Cuan Kids Community Preschool, we can’t wait to welcome you in.

Tonight, hold them close as you talk about the day,
The games we’ll play and the friends they’ll meet along the way tears at the door,
Soon they’ll be smiling, exploring and asking for more.

So take a deep breath and enjoy this time tonight,

The council have put on a few free training workshops to allow members of the public to update their knowledge on using AED, CPR and what to do in a medical emergency.

This is great as we have seen an increase in defibrillators around the peninsula!

Community Defibrillator and CPR Workshops ❤

Would YOU know what to do in an emergency?

Following the recent installation of 14 new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at various Council buildings across the Borough, local residents are invited to take part in a series of free Community Defibrillator and CPR Workshops.

Dates/locations detailed below:

📅 Thursday 3rd September 2026 | 12 noon - 1.30pm
Manor Court Community Centre, Newtownards

📅 Friday 2nd October 2026 | 1.30pm - 3.00pm
Kircubbin Community Centre

📅 Wednesday 4th November 2026 | 7.00pm - 8.30pm
Donaghadee Community Centre

Delivered by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), the workshops will include a practical CPR training element, giving attendees the opportunity to develop hands-on lifesaving skills.

🌟Breakfast Club Registration 🌟
❗️IMPORTANT INFORMATION ❗️

➡️ Every parent/carer needs to complete a registration form BEFORE sending their child to Breakfast Club.

➡️ Once registered, you will then be added to the Breakfast Club group on the Seesaw App.
🔹️ All information will now be communicated through the app.

➡️ If you have already registered, please let Lynsey know of any changes such as phone numbers, addresses, allergies etc

➡️ Lynsey will be in on Thursday 27th August from 9am for anyone who wishes to register their child. Forms can also be emailed. Please request a form by emailing Lynsey: [email protected]

➡️ If your child is starting P1, you will need to fill in a registration form.

❗️We would recommend everyone registers at the beginning of the year as we know life can get a little hectic once school starts. It will also cover you for any last minute changes to circumstances.

‼️NICSS & Tax free childcare schemes can be used for breakfast club. Please register with through their websites to avail of the schemes

⭐️The End …⭐️

As we come to the end of another wonderful preschool year, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on the many special memories we've shared together.

From our very first Christmas Tractor Run and festive Wreath Making Evening, to our Sponsored Jump and all the fun, learning, celebrations, outings, and everyday moments in between, it has been a year full of laughter, friendship, and achievement.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support, encouragement, and enthusiasm of our families and community. Whether you volunteered your time, attended events, donated, fundraised, or simply cheered us on, your involvement has helped create the strong sense of community that makes Cuan Kids such a special place.

We are so grateful for the trust you place in us and for the partnerships we build together to support our children as they learn, grow, and thrive.

To our children moving on to their next adventure, we wish you every success and happiness. To those returning, we can't wait to welcome you back for another exciting year.

Thank you for being part of our preschool family and for making this year one to remember.
We hope you all have a wonderful summer and look forward to creating many more memories together in the year ahead.

Lyndsay from Music Bugs North Down and Belfast came to visit us today!
We loved playing with the puppets, shaking the parachute and playing with the musical instruments.
