Has the penny finally dropped?

We’ve seen a huge influx of enquiries about AlphaPilotAPS recently.

And perhaps the penny has finally dropped.

Becoming a pilot isn’t just about passing an airline assessment. The journey to becoming a pilot is arguably one of the hardest things you’ll ever do.

And that journey starts long before an airline interview.

You don’t suddenly become a pilot because you’ve gained a PPL or NPPL. Those are significant achievements in their own right, representing hours of hard work, learning, decision-making and dedication. They are the foundations of your journey, not the end of it.

From your first lesson, through PPL or NPPL, ATPL theory, commercial training, MCC, APS and eventually airline selection, every stage is an opportunity to develop the skills and behaviours that will make you a better pilot.

That’s what AlphaPilotAPS is about…not simply preparing you to pass a test.

Recent Success at AlphaTech

The last 6 weeks have been busy at AlphaTech, and we're proud of what our pilots have achieved.

✈️ 5 pilots accepted jobs at easyJet as First Officers after completing our A320 Sim Assessment Preparation.

✈️ Our coaching has also helped 2 pilots secure Jet2 Airbus First Officer positions and 2 pilots begin their careers with British Airways as First Officers.

🎓 One of our AlphaPilotAPS members has taken the next step, starting an Integrated Flight Training course after months of dedicated preparation.

🛫 We've welcomed 51 people into our A320 Simulator Experience, giving aspiring aviators, enthusiasts and future pilots an unforgettable experience on the flight deck.

📈 We're also excited to welcome two new AlphaPilotAPS members who are beginning their journey of professional development towards an airline flight deck.

Success isn't built in a single simulator session. It's built through consistent coaching, deliberate practice, resilience and a commitment to continual improvement.

A huge congratulations to Casey, who is about to begin his Integrated Flight Training with Leading Edge.

Casey has been part of AlphaPilotAPS for the past couple of years, and throughout that time he has demonstrated the qualities that airlines are looking for.

Watching pilots like Casey grow in confidence and take the next step towards the flight deck is exactly why AlphaPilotAPS exists.

Our mission has never been just to help people fly an Airbus A320. We're incredibly grateful.

Every now and again we receive feedback that reminds us why we do what we do.

Whether it's someone enjoying their very first A320 experience, or an experienced airline pilot preparing for a career-defining simulator assessment, it's a privilege to be part of their journey.

This review came from 737 Captain who joined us after an unsuccessful airline assessment. Over the following 18 months we worked together, focusing not just on flying the aircraft, but on the pilot core competencies that airlines are really assessing.

The result? He secured the Direct Entry Captain position he'd missed before.

Today we celebrate World Pilots’ Day ✈️

From first flights to final line checks, every pilot’s journey starts with a single spark, and we’re proud to be part of that journey every single day at AlphaTech.

Through our AlphaPilotAPS scheme, we’ve helped aspiring pilots develop the core competencies, knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to succeed in airline selection and ultimately in pilot training. Watching our cadets go on to secure places with major airlines and begin their careers on the flight deck is what it’s all about.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Our simulator experiences continue to inspire the next generation, giving people their very first taste of aviation. For many, that first takeoff in the sim becomes the moment everything changes.

Today is about celebrating pilots, but also the journey it takes to become one.
