❤️ RESTART A HEART DAY – FRIDAY 16TH OCTOBER ❤️
🚨 Would you know what to do if someone collapsed in front of you?
This Friday is World Restart a Heart Day, raising awareness of the importance of CPR and knowing how to use a defibrillator (AED).
Here in Northern Ireland, the statistics are a powerful reminder of why these skills matter:
❤️ Around 1,400–1,500 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur each year where resuscitation is attempted.
💔 Fewer than 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to leave hospital alive.
⚡ Early CPR and rapid defibrillation can dramatically improve someone’s chance of survival.
A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere — at home, at work or out in the community. You don’t need to be a medical professional to make a difference. Knowing what to do and having the confidence to act could help save someone’s life.
At 2 Save a Life – First Aid Training NI, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn these potentially life-saving skills.
🙌 This Restart a Heart Day, why not challenge yourself to learn CPR, find out where your nearest public access defibrillator is, or book a first aid course?
❤️ Be Ready 2 Save a Life.
📢 Please share this post to help spread awareness. You never know whose life you could help save.
