Regent House Music

On Tuesday nearly 100 pupils joined us from Castle Gardens Primary School, Newtownards Victoria Primary School, Newtownards Regent House School Preparatory Department, Rathmore Primary School, Towerview Primary School, Newtownards Model Primary School, Londonderry Primary School, Andrews Memorial Primary School and Abbey Primary School. Pupils had the chance to perform with our Junior Concert Band. Well done to all the pupils for playing so well! 🎷🎺🎻🎻

Well done to Megan McCloskey (Year 13) who has been cast as Sandy in Grease! The performance takes place with The Alfie Boe James Huish Academy in June!

Rhys McMurray (Y8) attended the Royal Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens yesterday.

He performed as part of the Comber Brass Band. This was a fantastic experience for Rhys! Rhys makes a really valuable contribution to our Junior Concert Band in school. Well done Rhys!

We had a great time Bangor International Choral Festival last month. Here are some photos of our Junior Chamber Choir and Senior Chamber Choir. Jessa Downey and Gemma Moffett are pictured receiving the George Best Cup for Best Post-Primary Choir and Nyah Pue and Daniel McDonald are pictured receiving Runner-up in the Open Choral Section.

Massive congratulations to Betsy Andrews (Year 13) who has been selected as a finalist in West End Calling competition after competing in the semi-final in Manchester this week. What a fabulous achievement!

A huge congratulations to Angela Johnston Zaragoza (Year 9) who came 2nd in the 13 and Under Concert Solo at the Flute Band Association NI Solo and Ensemble Competition in Newtownards. She also came 1st the Under 16 Quartet. How lucky we are to have so many talented flautists in our Bands at Regent! Well done!
