If you are in receipt of one of the following, you will need to upload a Proof of Benefit letter when applying for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the 2026/27 academic year:

➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

You can request a Proof of Benefit letter online: https://t.co/vhcVyDRoi5 (It will take at least five days to be sent to you)

If you receive Universal Credit, you do not need the Proof of Benefit Letter. However, you will need to upload evidence of your Universal Credit entitlement when you apply.

Our former pupil… so proud!

🚑 A massive shout out to our amazing student, Sophia!

We are incredibly proud of Sophia, who is a member of the Cadets outside of school. Recently, she found herself in the right place at the right time when someone suddenly needed first aid. Without hesitation, Sophia stepped forward, stayed calm under pressure and used her training to provide vital support until further help arrived.

Her quick thinking, confidence and willingness to help someone in need are truly inspiring and demonstrate the very best of our school community. In recognition of her outstanding actions, Sophia has also been promoted within the Cadets – a fantastic achievement and a testament to the maturity, leadership and dedication she has shown.

Sophia has shown what our core value of Kindness is all about – putting others first, showing compassion and making a real difference when it matters most.

Well done, Sophia! You are a credit to yourself, your family, the Cadets and everyone at Abbey Community College. We are incredibly proud of you and congratulate you on your well-deserved promotion! 🙌🏼
