We also say a ‘See you later’ to a special group of year 6 learners today! We held our celebration assembly this week reflecting on all the memories and learning experiences of our year 6 learners.

They have been key role models for our school over the years and we wish you all the very best in the next step of your learning journey! You will be missed! 💙🤍

🔵🔵Last Week of Term 🔵🔵

Yesterday our learners enjoyed their fun wellbeing session! An afternoon where learners can enjoy being outside, creating memories and reflecting on what has been a fantastic year of learning and progress made!

We can’t wait to welcome all our learners back in September for what is going to be another memorable year at St-Michael’s. Enjoy your holidays everyone! You have deserved it!

🏃 🎨 Colour Run 2026 🎨 🏃

Last Sunday our hardworking friends of the school organised the annual colour run! A fantastic event that saw 100’s of children from the local area come and enjoy an action packed colour run with friends and family.

Thanks again for the continued effort and support of our friends of the school, we do really appreciate you!

Last week our year six learners went to St Mary’s church in Welshpool for a diocese leavers service. The children sang a selection of songs, participated in a variety of activities and enjoyed a picnic up on the hill looking down on the church.

🎥 Leavers Party 🎥

Last night our fabulous friends of the school organised the annual ‘leavers party’ our year 6 learners decided on the theme of ‘The Oscars’ years 2-6 enjoyed a fantastic night of games, fun, laughter and of course dancing and finished the evening with food and some popcorn cupcakes to take home. Again a massive thank you to our friends for keeping this wonderful tradition alive.

A fantastic achievement towards the end of the academic year! Diolch yn fawr I all teaching staff, TA’s, parents and the local community and most important of all, our wonderful learners. The school places Cynefin and the Welsh language at our heart and it’s lovely to have this recognition.

🎶 🎻 Mid and West Wales 3 Counties Orchestra Experience 🎻 🎶

Yesterday some of our talented musicians travelled to Swansea to work alongside world class musicians under the direction of professional conductor Chloe Rooke. The learners as always were amazing and a credit to the school, this experience allowed them to grow in confidence and perform with top professionals.

Well done girls, we are all very proud of you!

💰 Enterprise Fortnight 💰

What a way to finish our enterprise fortnight. The school held our enterprise fayre this afternoon, from; Popcorn Princesses, Buterfly Trading Company, The Ballers, Nerf Challenge, Lushy Slushies and the Dough Bro’s, Crispy Kings, plus many more, the afternoon was a great success.

The St-Michael’s community come to support the event and it was so lovely to see learners in a real life context and the hustle and bustle atmosphere around the school. A massive thank you to you all and the friends of the school for supporting the event. A truly engaging experience that works towards the learners becoming enterprising, creative contributors in our local community.

Next week we will be deducting our profits in our maths lessons and seeing if the businesses have made a profit from their expenses.
