A thought about resonance, and resonant spaces - the joy of working in a single resonance and the fine tuning that can take place in knowing a particular style, and the joy of hopping into different resonant spaces and the challenge for tuning and timing etc of doing that. Pros and cons both ways! Love Newtown Male Voice choir, gorgeous.

Couldn't help having a little giggle at the basses all standing in a row with their arms crossed 😂 it's not a cossack dance lads

Love reviving a song or two from terms gone by, this one took a lot of work but now we have it I hope we keep it! So much fun.

Really proud of the sound everyone is making and how it is all coming together. Lots of work goes into every term, learning words, learning notes and stacking up harmonies. And it's always worth every moment. So much joy and laughter, and for me sometimes a few tears when it drops into tune and feels deeply connected.

The water by Katie Rose Bennett. A current favourite! We hope you enjoy it. Come and see us at Newtown vocal festival, free and open to everyone. Workshops, performances, open mic and the bar will be open

Group singing is life changing. It boosts your health and well-being, your confidence and creativity, and helps protect against cognitive decline. Make friends, have fun and look after yourself into your old age! From teens to elders, it is one of the best all round activities you can take part in an and everyone is made very welcome.

We had a rehearsal last night of running through lots of our repertoire, polishing and tweaking. It was great to hear everybody get onto the same resonant sound and produce this bit of loveliness!
