Our latest guide supports parents, carers and educators in understanding the risks and opening constructive conversations around AI companionship.

The guide explores:
• Inappropriate content and unreliable advice
• Emotional dependency and blurred boundaries
• Privacy concerns linked to personal information
• Warning signs such as secretive or excessive use
• Withdrawal from real-world activities and relationships
• Practical steps around age settings, limits and reporting concerns

💙💛 Allergy Aware School 💛💙

As we begin the new school year, we want to tell families about some important changes to allergy safety in schools.

From September 2026, new statutory guidance known as Benedict’s Law strengthens the expectations on schools to protect children and adults living with allergies. This includes allergy awareness, staff training, emergency procedures, individual healthcare plans and having appropriate emergency medication available in school.

At St Peter's C of E Primary School, Newton Le Willows , we are committed to being an allergy-aware school. This means that we take steps to reduce the risk of exposure to allergens and ensure that staff are confident in recognising and responding to allergic reactions.

🥜 As part of our allergy-aware approach, we continue to ask that NO nuts or nut-containing products are brought into school in packed lunches or snacks.

This is an important precaution to help us reduce the risk of accidental exposure for children who may have a serious nut allergy. We appreciate your support in checking lunchboxes and snack items before sending them into school.

🏫 What does this mean for us as a school?

• All staff will have appropriate allergy awareness and emergency response training.
• We will have clear procedures for preventing and responding to allergic reactions.
• Children with significant allergies will have an appropriate Individual Healthcare Plan where required.
• We will have emergency adrenaline auto-injectors (Epi-Pens) available in school.
• We will carefully consider allergy risks during lessons, activities, trips and visits.
• We will work closely with families to make sure we understand individual children's needs.
• We will promote an inclusive approach so that children with allergies can participate fully in school life.

💊 Medication reminder

If your child has prescribed medication such as an Inhaler or an adrenaline auto-injector (such as an EpiPen) that they may need in school, please ensure that this is brought into school immediately and is in date.

Our emergency stock of adrenaline auto-injectors will not replace a child's own prescribed medication.

Thank you for helping us to make St Peter's a safe, inclusive and allergy-aware school for everyone. 💙💛

🌟 WHAT A BRILLIANT FIRST DAY BACK! 🌟

What a wonderful first day we have had !🥰❤️

It has been absolutely lovely to welcome all of our children back after the summer holidays, and a very special welcome to our new Reception children.

The children have been absolutely superb today — happy, enthusiastic, polite and ready to learn. We have been so proud watching them settle back into school, reconnect with their friends and embrace the start of a brand-new school year.

There have been lots of smiles, lots of laughter and plenty of wonderful learning already!

A huge well done to all of our children — you have made us incredibly proud today!💕
