🏐 S1–S3 Netball Season Closer Festival 🏐

Today we travelled to KGV in Dumfries with two teams to compete in the Junior Summer Festival.

Both teams played in preliminary round-robin tournaments during the morning sessions. The A Team progressed to the Cup competition, while the B Team advanced to the Bowl competition for the afternoon matches.

The A Team faced some very tough opposition, winning 3 games and drawing 1 this afternoon. The B Team were outstanding throughout, winning all of their games comfortably.

An incredible achievement for both teams, coming home with gold medals in their respective competitions! πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Congratulations to Abbie Cluckie, who was voted Overall MVP for the A Team, and Sophie Ferguson, who was voted MVP for the B Team. πŸ‘

A huge thank you as well to our super seniors, Macy and Alex, for coming along to help on the day. Superstars and fabulous role models for our younger players! ⭐

Absolutely brilliant performances from everyone in very hot conditions β€” a fantastic way to close the season!

Today saw the final MasterChef competition of the year, with the S1 final taking place β€” and what an exceptional standard it was! The judges had a very difficult job deciding on the winners, with lots of discussion and debate throughout.

πŸ₯£ Best Starter went to Skye McDowall for her delicious butternut squash soup.

🍽️ Best Main Course was awarded to Lily McShabe for her creamy leek and ham chicken with mash.

🍫 Best Dessert went to Calie McDowall for her chocolate brownies.

A huge well done to everyone who took part β€” you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves for your hard work, creativity, and effort.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our judges for giving up their free time to be involved and support the event.

The charter recognises our ongoing commitment to equality, inclusion and respect across our school community. Through pupil leadership, staff engagement, awareness raising and support networks, we continue to build a culture where our young people feel safe, valued and heard.

The panel praised our strong partnership working, pupil involvement, intersectional learning experiences and vibrant displays which showcase our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

A huge thank you to our pupils, staff and the wider community for helping make the Ewart a place where everyone can be proud to be themselves.

What fantastic dishes they produced. The standard was incredibly high and all pupils should be very proud of their hard work, creativity and presentation. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner in each category.

πŸ† Best Starter
Grace Foreman with her delicious sweet potato soup served with homemade croutons.

πŸ† Best Main Course
Isabelle Chappell with her venison served alongside mashed potatoes, asparagus and a blue cheese sauce.

πŸ† Best Dessert
Izzy Gee with her mini egg cookies.

Another fantastic class full of dishes to be proud of. Well done S2.2
