☀️🎉 SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! 🎉☀️

What a wonderful way to end another fantastic year at SWANS!

Today, we said a fond farewell to our incredible Year 6 children as they begin an exciting new chapter. We are so proud of everything they have achieved and wish them every success as they move on to secondary school. 💜

We then rounded off the year with our whole-school family picnic, welcoming parents and carers from Nursery right through to Year 6. It was the perfect opportunity to celebrate another amazing year together.

Today was also bittersweet as we said goodbye to some much-loved members of staff. Thank you for everything you have done for our children, families and school community. You will always be part of the SWANS family, and we wish you all the very best for the future. 💐

To all of our children, families and staff, thank you for another incredible year. We hope you all have a safe, happy and relaxing summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in September!

🏅☀️ Sports Day at SWANS! ☀️🏅

What a fantastic couple of Sports Days we’ve had!

Last week, our Key Stage 1 children gave it their all with brilliant determination, teamwork and lots of smiling faces. Today, it was Key Stage 2’s turn, and they certainly didn’t disappoint!

It was wonderful to see every child taking part, encouraging one another and showing fantastic sportsmanship throughout the events. A huge well done to all of our pupils – you made us incredibly proud!

⚽🌍 World Cup Lunch at SWANS! 🌍⚽

Last week, our Lower Site celebrated with a fantastic World Cup-themed lunch! 🇬🇧🎉

The dining hall was full of excitement as children enjoyed a special menu and joined in the fun, bringing a little taste of the tournament to lunchtime.

🌟 Last Week at SWANS 🌟

Last week was full of learning, creativity and exciting opportunities across our school!

🏃 Reception enjoyed practising their PE skills and developing their confidence and coordination.

🤖 Year 3 created some fantastic work inspired by The Wild Robot

💻 Year 5 used laptops in PSHE to research how we can look after different parts of the human body and stay healthy.

🍓 Mrs Gibson's Gardening Club harvested strawberries they had grown themselves and used them to make a delicious Eton Mess!

We love celebrating the wonderful things happening across our school and are incredibly proud of all our pupils. ⭐

With the warm weather set to continue, please ensure your child comes to school with:

🧴 Suncream

We will be encouraging regular drinks and making use of shaded areas throughout the day.

🫧🏴‍☠️ Bubble Fest at SWANS! 🏴‍☠️🫧

Today, our children from Nursery to Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic Bubble Fest experience with Pirate Rob and Pirate Rod!

There was plenty of laughter, dancing, bubbles and fun as the children took part in this exciting event. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and children making memories together.

A huge thank you to our special visitors for bringing such a bubbly adventure to SWANS! ⭐

⚡🔬 Science at SWANS 🔬⚡

Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have been exploring electricity in Science, developing their understanding of circuits and investigating how electrical components work together.

The children showed fantastic curiosity, teamwork and problem-solving skills as they carried out their investigations and tested their ideas.

We love seeing our pupils learning through practical, hands-on experiences! ⭐
