Remember, our 100% Attendance Challenge is now underway, and we're aiming to keep those attendance streaks going for the next four weeks. Every day counts, and every day in school brings you one step closer to our fantastic end-of-term rewards afternoon! 🎈🍦

A huge well done to all of Year 10 for an excellent start to their internal exams this week! 💚

Today, students completed both a Maths and an English exam, and we have been incredibly impressed with the way they have approached them.

The ambition, effort and maturity shown so far have been outstanding, and it was fantastic to see 97% of the year group in school today. Excellent attendance is making a real difference and helping students get the very best from their exam experience.

Tomorrow, Year 10 will be sitting:

📚 English Literature in the morning

🧪 Chemistry Paper 1 in the afternoon

Good luck to all of our Year 10 students. Keep working hard, stay positive and continue showing the fantastic attitude that has made us so proud this week.

🎯 Attendance Challenge – Are You In? 🎯

Starting Monday 15th June, we are launching a whole-school Attendance Challenge!

We are challenging every student to achieve a 4-week unbroken attendance streak right through to the end of the school year. Any student who successfully completes the challenge will be invited to take part in a special rewards afternoon during the final week of term, featuring:

🎈 Inflatables on the school field
🍦 A visit from an ice cream van
🎉 A chance to celebrate their commitment to excellent attendance

This challenge is open to all students, regardless of their current attendance percentage. It's all about making every day count between now and the summer holidays.

Please note that authorised medical appointments will not prevent students from taking part in the reward.

Every lesson matters, every day counts, and every student has the opportunity to earn their place at this exciting event.

Remember... you need to be in it to win it! ✅

Today is the day you have been waiting for, Year 11 – Leavers' Day! 🎉💚

Well done, you have made it to the end... well, almost!

This morning, Year 11 will sit their final Chemistry exam, followed by a Physics booster during Lessons 3 and 4 as students prepare for their final Physics exam next week. - As a polite reminder full uniform requirements are still needed for this exam.

Then it's time for the celebrations to begin! 🎓

From Lesson 5 onwards, we will come together to celebrate everything that Year 11 have achieved during their time with us. Get the tissues at the ready – it's going to be an afternoon filled with laughter, memories, celebrations and, no doubt, a few tears too!

We could not be prouder of the way you have conducted yourselves throughout this examination series. Your attitude, resilience and determination have been outstanding. You have demonstrated real AMBITION throughout and should be incredibly PROUD of everything you have achieved so far.

You have been a credit to yourselves, your families and our school community.

A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 10 GCSE Drama students
Today they completed their exam performance — and what a performance it was. Professional, committed, and completely immersed in their work from the moment they stepped on stage.

We were incredibly lucky to use the Gala Theatre in Durham as our performance space, and the students rose to the occasion beautifully. They represented themselves and the school with real maturity and talent.

So proud of this brilliant group.
