🌟 What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of term! 🌟

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTFA for funding such an incredible day of activities for our children and staff.

We are so grateful to Brick Ideas, Animals 2U South West, and Circus Into Schools for providing such exciting and memorable experiences. From building and programming motorised vehicles, to meeting and holding amazing animals, and learning new circus skills, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was wonderful to see so many children stepping outside their comfort zones, showing bravery, trying new things, and creating lasting memories with their friends. The smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm throughout the day were truly priceless.

Thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success. It was a perfect way to end the term and celebrate all that our children have achieved this year.

β˜€οΈ We wish all of our children, families, staff, and friends a happy, relaxing, and well-deserved summer holiday. We look forward to seeing you all again in the new academic year!

We have celebrated the end of term in spectacular style with a day full of exciting hands-on activities, giving children the opportunity to learn new skills, discover fascinating creatures and challenge themselves with a range of circus skills.

The day began with engaging Lego Workshops, where children became engineers and racers as they designed, built and tested their own motorised Lego vehicles. Working collaboratively, pupils explored problem-solving, creativity and teamwork before putting their creations to the test on the racetrack.

Next, the children met an incredible variety of reptiles, amphibians and creepy crawlies, learning all about their habitats, characteristics and how they survive in the wild. The stars of the session were undoubtedly Hoppy, Jumpy and Skippy, the three brother tree frogs, who quickly became firm favourites among the children. Pupils were fascinated as they handled and observed the animals up close, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

The excitement continued with a thrilling Circus Skills Workshop, where children learnt how to juggle, balance feathers, spin plates and master a range of other circus techniques. The session encouraged resilience, concentration and determination as pupils stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered talents they never knew they had.

Throughout the day, children were fully engaged and enthusiastic, embracing every opportunity to try something new and create lasting memories with their friends.

The excitement of the day was reflected in the pupils' own words:

"I loved the frogs because they were little and jumpy! Hoppy was my favourite and I liked seeing him climb."

"The Lego cars were amazing! Mine went really fast and I liked racing it with my friends. It was the best day ever!"

"I enjoyed the circus skills because I learnt how to spin a plate and keep it moving. It was challenging at first, but I kept practising and got much better."

The event was made possible thanks to the generosity of the school's PTFA, whose funding enabled pupils to access these enriching experiences. The academy would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the expert facilitators who shared their knowledge, enthusiasm and passion throughout the day.

From racing motorised vehicles and meeting remarkable creatures to mastering circus tricks, the children will finish the academic year on a high, creating lifelong memories while learning valuable new skills and discovering exciting new interests.

What a wonderful way to spend the last day of term!

Year 6 Cream Tea a Wonderful Success

A huge thank you to all our friends and families who joined us this afternoon for our Year 6 Cream Tea.

Our Year 6 pupils were absolutely fantastic, taking charge of baking and serving the delicious treats with confidence, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles. It was wonderful to see them showcasing the skills they have developed and taking such pride in their work.

A very special thank you goes to Mrs Armstrong for all her hard work in organising the event and helping to bake the scrumptious scones and sweet treats that everyone enjoyed.

We are delighted that the event was so well supported. Every penny raised will be reinvested into providing free cooking lessons for our pupils, helping them to continue developing valuable life skills and a love of cooking.

And finally, we were pleased to see that the cream teas were being made the proper wayβ€”with the cream on the bottom and the jam on top!
