📣 Case Study - Wadebridge Secondary School, Cornwall

Wadebridge Secondary School was dealing with a familiar Cornwall problem: unpredictable weather that kept staff from timetabling lessons outside and left the dining hall overcrowded at lunch, with no reliable alternative.

What we delivered:
✔️ A 28m x 8m timber canopy, giving 224m² of covered space
✔️ Natural timber construction that suits the school's Cornish surroundings
✔️ Year-round shelter from both rain and summer sun
✔️ The full build completed in 3 weeks over the summer holidays, with zero disruption to teaching or exams

📣 Case Study - Willowbrook School, Exeter

Willowbrook School came to us with an outdoor space that wasn't working. A tensile canopy had been installed away from the main building, so it was rarely used, and the school wanted a covered space children could walk straight into.

What we delivered:
✔️ A 28m x 4m steel canopy fixed directly to the building
✔️ Polycarbonate roofing that keeps the light in while providing weather protection
✔️ Removal and relocation of the existing tensile canopy
✔️ Matched paving around the new foundations, so the finish looks permanent rather than patched
✔️ 112m² of accessible, all-weather outdoor learning space

The result: children now have somewhere to learn and play right on their classroom doorstep, whatever the weather, and outdoor lessons can be timetabled with confidence.

📢 Case study - Creating a more active space at Ysgol Craig Y Don

Following a recommendation from a previous outdoor gym project, Ysgol Craig Y Don came to us looking for a way to encourage physical activity for pupils of all abilities.

We worked closely with the school and Local Authority to create an outdoor gym area designed around their pupils, available space and budget, with room for around 20 users at a time.

✅ Activities supporting core strength and overall fitness
