And that’s a wrap on the school year! 🎬✨

So much has been achieved this year, and we couldn't be prouder of how far our students have come. A huge well done to everyone for all of their hard work and success!

14 pupils from year 10 have recently completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition. Over two days, the pupils canoed over 14km along the historic Tiverton Canal. We observed a range of nature including fish, herons, kingfishers and some huge dragonflies.

The pupils all showed amazing resilience, team work and excellent communication and have now achieved their Bronze award, well done!

🌿 Year 7 Residential Adventure at Wildwood, Escot 🌿
On Monday morning, our Year 7 students set off on an exciting overnight adventure to Wildwood at Escot!
After arriving, we settled into our yurts, which became our homes for the night, before enjoying lunch and heading off to explore the park. We were lucky enough to see the wolves and brown bears, and everyone loved taking on the drop slide, racing along the zip wire, and getting wonderfully lost in the maze!
After some time to relax back at our campsite, we enjoyed a delicious dinner of pasta Bolognese followed by ice cream for dessert.
As the evening drew in, we gathered around the campfire to toast marshmallows, play team games, and make some fantastic memories together.
We then settled down for the night in our yurts... although for some, the morning started a little earlier than planned!
After a hearty bacon bap for breakfast, we packed up our belongings and made one final stop at the Donkey Sanctuary before heading back to school.
We are incredibly proud of all our Year 7 students. Throughout the trip, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork, resilience, and independence, and they represented the school brilliantly. It was a wonderful adventure filled with fun, laughter, and memories that we hope will last a long time!

On Friday evening, Willow and Cedar Class enjoyed a fantastic sleepover at school!
Once everyone had gone home, we headed down to Teignmouth seafront for some fun at the park. It was such a warm evening that some of us couldn't resist cooling off in the splash pad! We then enjoyed fish and chips together while sitting on the green.

Back at school, we had lots of fun playing hide and seek. We discovered that some of our children are incredibly good at hiding!
As bedtime approached, we made our beds, changed into our pyjamas, and relaxed together while watching a film.

The next morning, we woke up and enjoyed breakfast before spending some time with the animals and having a relaxing morning until our parents arrived to collect us.

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of the children. They showed great independence, kindness, and resilience throughout the experience, and they should all be very proud of themselves

Yesterday, we ran our Lower School Sports Day at The Rec in Newton Abbot. This was our second annual event building on the success from last year. It was certainly a warm one, but everyone did an amazing job and helped make it such a brilliant day!
Our students completed 9 stations throughout the morning, working together to conquer each challenge - whether it was the gutter ball challenge or bean bag target throw. Along with some lovely independent activities such as the standing long jump and space hopper challenge! Staff also enjoyed giving this one a go!

After we had finished, students, staff and families had their lunch/picnic together before the infamous staff vs!

We started with the Staff vs Students tug of war with the staff coming out on top. However, for the second year our Parents/Families were victorious in the Tug of War simply being far too strong for us! It was a great way to finish!

We then rounded things off with the staff dunking, where Lisa and Grace took the buckets of water, and Sam and Lois bravely took on the ice bath!
What a cracking day it was! Thank you all too all the students for taking on each challenge with loads of energy and for parents/families coming down showing their support!
